Some of us, when we feel a little bit insecure about our walk with the Lord, put on our ‘spiritual
makeup,’ so we can look like the beautifully spiritual person.

We use spiritual eye shadow to shade the view when others look into our eyes in hopes the truth
will be converted and the view we want will show. We put on the spiritual lipstick to make our lips
stand out. But it’s not how they look; it’s what comes from between them that counts. We
sometimes add a little rouge to color the view when someone is looking at us. We know our face
reflects the truth and the truth will shine through our rouge sooner or later.

When we are communicating with others, we should keep a constant check on how much ‘spiritual makeup’ we are wearing, because if we don’t apply the proper amount the truth will shine through.
