The Partner of Progress…Problems

Progress is always accompanied by his partner; Problems. His partner (problems) follows him. Sometimes right behind him and sometimes far enough behind him he cannot see him. Sometimes his partner (problems) gets ahead of him and waits for him to catch up, but his partner (problems) is always there somewhere. No progress is progress without his partner (problems) tagging along.

Progress has regular meetings with his partner (problems) and sometimes thinks his partner (problems) is attacking him. He is not. His partner, (problems) like many other partners, (problems) wants to stay right where he is. He does not want to go forward, and will make it painful for Progress to move forward. If progress is not moving forward he is not progress anymore. He is converted to be the same as his partner (problems) by the actions of his partner (problems). His partner (problems) is breaking him down. Once his partner (problems) converts him, he is useless to progress, so he has to go and become the partner (problems) of Progress.

If you metaphorize, progress is God’s way, and his partner (problem) the way of the world. The partner (problems) will win a few battles, but Progress will eventually win the war.

One thing is certain. Problems will be there for us. Those who overcome them will be rewarded. They will overcome because they will not stray from the narrow path.
