No Prayer, No Life…

Prayer is the most powerful spiritual tool we have. Our attitude toward someone changes when we pray for them.

Revenge belongs to God, not us. We pray for someone rather than avenge ourselves. We are more wrong than they are if we seek and get revenge, because we know revenge belongs to God and we are trying to take something that is His from Him.

We also pray for others to be blessed. They are God’s creation and we should always ask God to bless them. We will be blessed for working to bless others. It is our responsibility to Christ to bring souls to Him. They have to be blessed, just as we were, before they can come to Him. We pray for their salvation.

We don’t pray for ourselves other than asking for God’s forgiveness, His will for us, His blessings, His protection, and His love, mercy and grace. We don’t pray for a Cadillac or for earthly things. These are self-seeking. God is not about self. Self has nothing in God. When you are full of self you are empty of God.

We pray in the Spirit, to the Spirit, and to receive the Spirit. By receiving the Spirit, we will have everything we need. We are to seek the Kingdom and His righteousness and all will be added to us.
