Freedom… Inspired by God
Freedom is not being able to do whatever you want, whenever you want, where you want without having any laws, responsibilities or someone to keep you in check. That is an inaccurate portrayal of freedom and also defines bondage. Freedom without responsibility leads to bondage or captivity to expression of that freedom. Bondage is the opposite freedom. Bondage is not liberty. Bondage is being a captive or a prisoner of your own sinful nature, or being caught up and obligated to the sinful life you have decided to call freedom. Freedom is being free of any kind of bondage, or kind of captivity of the sinful nature you have in self. It is saying NO to the desires of self, of the flesh, and of the whispering in your ear by Satan. It is saying yes to God and following His commands instead of the man made commands the world has filled your wish list with. If you love the world you are an enemy to God. If you love God you are an enemy to the world. Who you pick for an enemy is your choice, you can sacrifice the world for God, or sacrifice God for the world. |
