Biker’s Lamentation… Whatever you place first in your life is your god. This includes any asset you may have or want. If your motorcycle comes before God, your motorcycle is an idol and you are worshipping a false god, your motorcycle. You probably have a very nice motorcycle and it is probably very fast, but its not as nice and not as fast as God. It will lose the race in the end. God gave it to you and God can and will take it back from you whenever He wants. You might want to reflect upon this issue until you see the light. There are a few questions you can reflect upon to determine whether or not your motorcycle is your god. You have to be honest or you are wasting your time. Do you ‘shine up’ your motorcycle every time you find time? Do you ‘shine up’ God with the same amount of praise, effort and time you devote to ‘shinning up’ your motorcycle? When your motorcycle needs something, do you put off everything else until you have it? This can be a chrome cover or some part to make it faster. Do you put everything off and stop what you’re doing to praise God? Do you prefer your motorcycle as your vehicle when you are going anywhere you can ride it? Do you prefer God’s will when you go anywhere you can go? What is first? God or
your motorcycle? You can’t have both if your motorcycle is
first. You are in bondage to it. You will have it for a while,
but then God will get jealous and take it from you. You can have
both if you make God first. You will have no bondage and He will
bless you and your motorcycle. |
