An Ambassador… Written by Carl A Davenport Inspired by God Ambassadors never have a day off. They are representing their country twenty-four hours a day. Every action they perform and every word they speak reflect back to the country they represent. How they dress, how they sit, even how they spend the leisure time they may have, all reflect back. In order to serve the country they represent, they must forfeit many of their freedoms and assume certain responsibilities. Every true believer is an ambassador of Christ. He is a walking, talking, twenty-four hour a day representative of the King of Kings. Whether the believer opens his mouth or not he speaks volumes about Christ by his actions and attitudes. Are you spiritually ready to apply for the job of Ambassador of Christ? Many of us are not. We are part-time Christians who attend church regularly on Sundays. We are holy while we're in the church or around church people. Then, our regular routine begins again Monday morning and continues until we get up next Sunday and go to church. If we are this type of person our actions speak loudly in volumes about us. We can talk a good game, but if someone is watching you to find Christ, he will not find Christ, he will find you and your game, and you will certainly pay later. |
