1
As snow
in summer, and as rain in harvest, so honour is not seemly
for a fool.
1 Samuel 12:17
Is it not wheat
harvest to day? I will call unto the LORD, and he shall send
thunder and rain; that ye may perceive and see that your
wickedness is
great, which ye have done in the sight of the LORD, in
asking you a king.

As the
bird by wandering, as the swallow by flying, so the curse
causeless shall not come.
Duet 23:5 Nevertheless the
LORD thy God would not hearken unto Balaam; but the LORD thy
God turned the curse into a blessing unto thee, because the
LORD thy God loved thee.

for the horse, a bridle for the ass, and a rod for the
fool's back.
Psalms 32:9 Be ye not as the
horse, or
as the mule, which
have no understanding: whose mouth must be held in with bit

not a fool according to his folly, lest thou also be like
unto him.

foul weather to day: for the sky is red and lowring. O

hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky; but can ye
not
discern
the signs of the times?

A wicked and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and
there shall no sign be given unto it, but the sign of the
prophet Jonas.

sendeth a message by the hand of a fool cutteth off the
feet, and
drinketh damage.

is a parable in

is a parable in

great God
that formed all things
both rewardeth the fool, and rewardeth transgressors.

As a dog
returneth to his vomit,
so a fool
returneth to his folly.

unto them according to the true proverb, The dog
is turned to
his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her
wallowing in the mire.

Seest
thou a man wise in his own conceit?
there is more
hope of a fool than of him.

Eph 5:4 Neither filthiness,
nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient:
but rather giving of thanks.

Where no
wood is, there
the fire goeth out: so where
there is no
talebearer, the strife ceaseth.

As
coals are
to burning coals, and wood to fire; so
is a
contentious man to kindle strife.
Prov 15:18 A wrathful man
stirreth up strife: but
he that is slow
to anger appeaseth strife.

The
words of a talebearer
are as wounds, and they go down into the
innermost parts of the belly.

Burning
lips and a wicked heart
are like a
potsherd covered with silver dross.

hateth dissembleth with his lips, and layeth up deceit
within him;

speaketh fair, believe him not: for
there are seven
abominations in his heart.
Psalms 28:3 Draw me not away
with the wicked, and with the workers of iniquity, which
speak peace to their neighbours, but mischief
is in their
hearts.

Whose
hatred is covered by deceit, his wickedness shall be shewed
before the whole
congregation.

Whoso
diggeth a pit shall fall therein: and he that rolleth a
stone, it will return upon him.
Psalms 7:15 He made a pit, and
digged it, and is fallen into the ditch
which he made.

A lying
tongue hateth those
that are afflicted by it; and a flattering mouth
worketh ruin.
