Proverbs
Chapter 3
1 My son, forget not my
law; but let thine heart keep my commandments:
Duet 8:1 All the commandments
which I command thee this day shall ye observe to do, that
ye may live, and multiply, and go in and possess the land
which the LORD sware unto your fathers.
2 For length of days,
and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee.
Psalms 119:165 Great peace
have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them.

truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them
upon the table of thine heart:

for a sign unto thee upon thine hand, and for a memorial
between thine eyes, that the LORD'S law may be in thy mouth:
for with a strong hand hath the LORD brought thee out of
Egypt.

hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes.

ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of

Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him;
and he shall bring it
to pass.
Jer 9:23 Thus saith the LORD, Let not the wise
man glory in
his wisdom, neither let the mighty
man glory in
his might, let not the rich
man glory in
his riches:

acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
1 Chr 28:9 And thou, Solomon
my son, know thou the God of thy father, and serve him with
a perfect heart and with a willing mind: for the LORD
searcheth all hearts, and understandeth all the imaginations
of the thoughts: if thou seek him, he will be found of thee;
but if thou forsake him, he will cast thee off for ever.
Jer 10:23 O LORD, I know that the way of man
is not in
himself: it is

thy substance, and with the first fruits of all thine
increase:

filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new
wine.

command the blessing upon thee in thy storehouses, and in
all that thou settest thine hand unto; and he shall bless
thee in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.
11 My son, despise not
the chastening of the LORD; neither be weary of his
correction:
Job 5:17 Behold, happy
is the man whom
God correcteth: therefore despise not thou the chastening of
the Almighty:
Psalms 94:12 Blessed
is the man whom thou chastenest, O LORD, and
teachest him out of thy law;
12 For whom the LORD
loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son
in whom he
delighteth.
Duet 8:5 Thou shalt also
consider in thine heart, that, as a man chasteneth his son,
so the LORD
thy God chasteneth thee.
13 Happy
is the man
that findeth
wisdom, and the man
that getteth understanding.

is the man that
heareth me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts
of my doors.

shall obtain favour of the LORD.

of it is
better than the merchandise of silver, and the gain thereof
than fine gold.

price thereof; neither is it found in the land of the
living.

are they than
gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and

is more
precious than rubies: and all the things thou canst desire
are not to be compared unto her.
Matt 13:44
Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a
field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for
joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth
that field.
16 Length of days
is in her right
hand; and
in her left hand riches and honour.
1 Tim 4:8 For bodily exercise
profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all
things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that
which is to come.

are ways of
pleasantness, and all her paths
are peace.

is a tree of
life to them that lay hold upon her: and happy
is every one
that retaineth her.

hath founded the earth; by understanding hath he established
the heavens.

waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place,

and distil upon
man abundantly.

depart from thine eyes: keep sound wisdom and discretion:

unto thy soul, and grace to thy neck.

shall be an ornament of grace unto thy head, and
chains about thy neck.

thy confidence, and shall keep thy foot from being taken.
27 Withhold not good
from them to whom it is due, when it is in the power of
thine hand to do it

whom tribute is due;
custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom
honour.
Gal 6:10. As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good
unto all men,
especially unto them who are of the household of faith.
28 Say not unto thy
neighbour, Go, and come again, and to morrow I will give;
when thou hast it by thee.

defraud thy neighbour, neither rob
him: the wages
of him that is hired shall not abide with thee all night
until the morning.

against thy neighbour, seeing he dwelleth securely by thee.

without cause, if he have done thee no harm.

is abomination
to the LORD: but his secret
is with the
righteous.

LORD is
with them that fear him; and he will shew them his covenant.
33 The curse of the LORD
is in the
house of the wicked: but he blesseth the habitation of the
just.
Zech 5:3-4
3
Then said he unto me, This
is the curse
that goeth forth over the face of the whole earth: for every
one that stealeth shall be cut off
as on this side
according to it; and every one that sweareth shall be cut
off as on
that side according to it.
4
I will bring it forth, saith the LORD of hosts,
and it shall enter into the house of the thief, and into the
house of him that sweareth falsely by my name: and it shall
remain in the midst of his house, and shall consume it with
the timber thereof and the stones thereof.
5
Then the angel that talked with me went forth,
and said unto me, Lift up now thine eyes, and see what
is this that
goeth forth.
Mal 2:2 If ye will not hear, and if ye will not lay
it to heart, to
give glory unto my name, saith the LORD of hosts, I will
even send a curse upon you, and I will curse your blessings:
yea, I have cursed them already, because ye do not lay
it to heart.
Psalms 1:3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the
rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his
season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he
doeth shall prosper.

the scorners: but he giveth grace unto the lowly.

grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but
giveth grace unto the humble.

the elder. Yea, all of
you be subject one to another, and be clothed
with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace
to the humble.

inherit glory: but shame shall be the promotion of fools.
