Proverbs
Chapter 10
1 The proverbs of
Solomon. A wise son maketh a glad father: but a foolish son
is the
heaviness of his mother.

suffer the soul of the righteous to famish: but he casteth
away the substance of the wicked.

it; for
thou beholdest mischief and spite, to requite
it with thy
hand: the poor committeth himself unto thee; thou art the
helper of the fatherless.

dealeth with
a slack hand: but the hand of the diligent maketh rich.

summer is a
wise son: but

is a son that
causeth shame.

his father,
and chaseth
away his
mother, is
a son that causeth shame, and bringeth reproach.

are upon the
head of the just: but violence covereth the mouth of the
wicked.

he that is
perverse in his
ways shall fall at once.

15 He that walketh
righteously, and speaketh uprightly; he that despiseth the
gain of oppressions, that shaketh his hands from holding of
bribes, that stoppeth his ears from hearing of blood, and
shutteth his eyes from seeing evil;
16 He shall dwell on high:
his place of defence
shall be the munitions of rocks: bread shall be
given him; his waters
shall be sure.
10 He that winketh with
the eye causeth sorrow: but a prating fool shall fall.
Prov 6:13 He winketh with his
eyes, he speaketh with his feet, he teacheth with his

is his
destruction, and his lips
are the snare

confidence;

to life: the fruit of the wicked to sin.

with lying
lips, and he that uttereth a slander,

is little
worth.

LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.

to them that send him.
