Evil
Prov 20:17 KJV Bread of deceit
is sweet to a
man; but afterwards his mouth shall be filled with gravel.
Prov 9:17 KJV Stolen waters are sweet, and bread
eaten in secret
is pleasant.
Prov 2:11-20
11 Discretion shall
preserve thee, understanding shall keep thee:
12 To deliver thee from
the way of the evil man,
from the man that speaketh froward things;
13 Who leave the paths
of uprightness, to walk in the ways of darkness;
14 Who rejoice to do
evil, and
delight in the frowardness of the wicked;
15 Whose ways
are crooked,
and they
froward in their paths:
16 To deliver thee from
the strange woman, even
from the stranger which
flattereth with her words;
17 Which forsaketh the
guide of her youth, and forgetteth the covenant of her God.
18 For her house
inclineth unto death, and her paths unto the dead.
19 None that go unto her
return again, neither take they hold of the paths of life.
20 That thou mayest walk
in the way of good men,
and keep the paths of the righteous.
21 For the upright shall
dwell in the land, and the perfect shall remain in it.
22 But the wicked shall
be cut off from the earth, and the transgressors shall be
rooted out of it.
Prov 3:5-7
5 Trust in the LORD with
all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
6 In all thy ways
acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
7 Be not wise in thine
own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.
Prov 4:14-19
14 Enter not into the
path of the wicked, and go not in the way of evil
men.
15 Avoid it, pass not by
it, turn from it, and pass away.
16 For they sleep not,
except they have done mischief; and their sleep is taken
away, unless they cause
some to fall.
17 For they eat the
bread of wickedness, and drink the wine of violence.
18 But the path of the
just is as
the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the
perfect day.
19 The way of the wicked
is as
darkness: they know not at what they stumble.
Prov 5:
3 For the lips of a
strange woman drop as
an honeycomb, and her mouth
is smoother
than oil:
4 But her end is bitter
as wormwood, sharp as a twoedged sword.
5 Her feet go down to
death; her steps take hold on hell.
6 Lest thou shouldest
ponder the path of life, her ways are moveable,
that thou canst
not know them.
7 Hear me now therefore,
O ye children, and depart not from the words of my mouth.
8 Remove thy way far
from her, and come not nigh the door of her house:
9 Lest thou give thine
honour unto others, and thy years unto the cruel:
