Prophets Shall Be Put to Death
Duet 13:5
And that
prophet, or that dreamer of dreams, shall be put to death;
because he hath spoken to turn
you away from
the LORD your God, which brought you out of the land of
Egypt, and redeemed you out of the house of bondage, to
thrust thee out of the way which the LORD thy God commanded
thee to walk in. So shalt thou put the evil away from the
midst of thee.
Jer 5:12 They have belied the LORD, and said,
It is not he;
neither shall evil come upon us; neither shall we see sword
nor famine:
2 Chron 36:16 But they mocked the messengers of God, and
despised his words, and misused his prophets, until the
wrath of the LORD arose against his people, till
there was no
remedy.
Jer 4:10 But they mocked the messengers of God, and
despised his words, and misused his prophets, until the
wrath of the LORD arose against his people, till
there was no
remedy.
Ezek 14:9 And if the prophet be deceived when he hath
spoken a thing, I the LORD have deceived that prophet, and I
will stretch out my hand upon him, and will destroy him from
the midst of my people Israel.
2 Thes 2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for
that day shall not come,
except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin
be revealed, the son of perdition;
2 Thes 2:
9 Even him,
whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power
and signs and lying wonders,
10
And with all deceivableness of
unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received
not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion,
that they should believe a lie:
Isaiah 28:15 Because ye have said, We have made a covenant
with death, and with hell are we at agreement; when the
overflowing scourge shall pass through, it shall not come
unto us: for we have made lies our refuge, and under
falsehood have we hid ourselves:
Jer 14:13-15
13 Then said I, Ah, Lord GOD! behold, the prophets say unto
them, Ye shall not see the sword, neither shall ye have
famine; but I will give you assured peace in this place.
14 Then the LORD said unto me, The prophets prophesy lies
in my name: I sent them not, neither have I commanded them,
neither spake unto them: they prophesy unto you a false
vision and divination, and a thing of nought, and the deceit
of their heart.
15 Therefore thus saith the LORD concerning the prophets
that prophesy in my name, and I sent them not, yet they say,
Sword and famine shall not be in this land; By sword and
famine shall those prophets be consumed.
Zech 13:3 And it shall come to pass,
that when any
shall yet prophesy, then his father and his mother that
begat him shall say unto him, Thou shalt not live; for thou
speakest lies in the name of the LORD: and his father and
his mother that begat him shall thrust him through when he
prophesieth.
Duet 17:7 The hands of the witnesses shall be first upon
him to put him to death, and afterward the hands of all the
people. So thou shalt put the evil away from among you.
1 Cor 5:13 But them that are without God judgeth. Therefore
put away from among yourselves that wicked person.
Psalms 1:1-6
1
Blessed
is the man that
walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in
the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
2
But his delight
is in the law
of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
3
And he shall be like a tree planted by the
rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his
season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he
doeth shall prosper.
4
The ungodly
are not so: but
are like
the chaff which the wind driveth away.
5
Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in
the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the
righteous.
6
For the LORD knoweth the way of the
righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.
