He Shall Be Called A Nazarene
Matthew 2:19-23
19 But when Herod was dead, behold, an angel of the Lord
appeareth in a dream to Joseph in Egypt,
20 Saying,
Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and go into
the land of Israel: for they are dead which sought the young
child's life.
21 And he arose,
and took the young child and his mother, and came into the
land of Israel.
22 But when he
heard that Archelaus did reign in Judaea in the room of his
father Herod, he was afraid to go thither: notwithstanding,
being warned of God in a dream, he turned aside into the
parts of Galilee:
Matt 3:13 Then
cometh Jesus from Galilee to Jordan unto John, to be
baptized of him.
Mark 1:9 And it came to pass in those days, that Jesus
came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was baptized of John in
Jordan.
Luke 2:39 And she coming in that instant gave thanks
likewise unto the Lord, and spake of him to all them that
looked for redemption in Jerusalem.
23 And he came
and dwelt in a city called Nazareth: that it might be
fulfilled which was spoken by the prophets, He shall be
called a Nazarene.
John 1:45 Philip
findeth Nathanael, and saith unto him, We have found him, of
whom Moses in the law, and the prophets, did write, Jesus of
Nazareth, the son of Joseph.
Judges 13:5 For, lo, thou shalt conceive, and bear a
son; and no razor shall come on his head: for the child
shall be a Nazarite unto God from the womb: and he shall
begin to deliver Israel out of the hand of the Philistines.
1 Sam 1:11
And she vowed a vow, and said, O LORD of hosts, if thou wilt
indeed look on the affliction of thine handmaid, and
remember me, and not forget thine handmaid, but wilt give
unto thine handmaid a man child, then I will give him unto
the LORD all the days of his life, and there shall no razor
come upon his head.
