Ye Also Ought to Wash One Another's Feet.
John 13
1-17
1 Now before the feast
of the passover, when Jesus knew that his hour was come that
he should depart out of this world unto the Father, having
loved his own which were in the world, he loved them unto
the end.

delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son,
but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the
Son, and he
to whomsoever the Son will reveal
him.

ye
that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

3:35 The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things
into his hand.
17:2 As thou hast given him power over
all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as
thou hast given him.
Heb 2:8 Thou hast put all things in subjection under his
feet. For in that he put all in subjection under him, he
left nothing that is
not put under him. But now we see not yet all things put
under him.
4 He riseth from supper,
and laid aside his garments; and took a towel, and girded
himself.
Luke 22:27
For whether is
greater, he that sitteth at meat, or he that serveth?
is
not he that sitteth at meat? but I am among you as he that
serveth.
Phil 2:7-8
7
But made himself of no reputation, and
took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the
likeness of men:
8
And being found in fashion as a man, he
humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the
death of the cross
5 After that he poureth
water into a bason, and began to wash the disciples' feet,
and to wipe them
with the towel wherewith he was girded.
6 Then cometh he to
Simon Peter: and Peter saith unto him, Lord, dost thou wash
my feet?
Matt 3:14 But John forbad him,
saying, I have need to be baptized of thee, and comest thou
to me?
7 Jesus answered and
said unto him, What I do thou knowest
not now; but thou shalt know hereafter.
John 13:12
So after he had washed their
feet, and had taken his garments, and was set down again, he
said unto them, Know ye what I have done
to you?
8 Peter saith unto him,
Thou shalt never wash my feet. Jesus answered him,
If I wash thee not, thou hast no part
with me.
John 3:5
Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say
unto thee, Except a man be born of water and
of
the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
1 Cor 6:11 And such were some of you: but ye are
washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the
name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.
Eph 5:26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with
the washing of water by the word,
9 Simon Peter saith unto
him, Lord, not my feet only, but also
my hands and
my head.
10 Jesus saith to him,
He that is washed needeth not save to
wash his
feet, but is clean every whit: and ye are clean, but not
all.
John 15:3 Now ye are clean
through the word which I have spoken unto you.
11
For he knew who
should betray him; therefore said he, Ye are not all clean.
John 6:64
But there are some of you that believe not. For Jesus
knew from the beginning who they were that believed not, and
who should betray him.
12 So after he had
washed their feet, and had taken his garments, and was set
down again, he said unto them, Know ye
what I have done to you?
13
Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for
so
I am.
Matt 23 :8 But be not ye
called Rabbi: for one is your Master,
even
Christ; and all ye are brethren.
Luke 6:46
And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do
not the things which I say?
1 Cor 8:6 & 12:3
8:6 But to us
there is but one God, the Father, of whom
are all things,
and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom
are all things,
and we by him.
12:3 Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man
speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and
that no man
can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost.
14
If I then, your
Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to
wash one another's feet.
Luke 12:27
Consider
the lilies how they grow: they toil not, they spin not; and
yet I say unto you, that Solomon in all his glory was not
arrayed like one of these.

kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in
honour preferring one another;
Gal 6:1-2
1
Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are
spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness;
considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.
2
Bear ye one another's burdens, and so
fulfil the law of Christ.
1 Peter 5:5 Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves
unto the elder. Yea, all
of you be
subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for
God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble.
15
For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have
done to you.
Matt 11:29
Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and
lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

Jesus:
1 Peter 2:21 For even hereunto were ye called: because
Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye
should follow his steps:
1 John 2:6 He that saith he abideth in him ought himself
also so to walk, even as he walked.
16
Verily, verily, I say unto you, The servant is not greater
than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that
sent him.

The disciple is not above
his
master, nor the servant above his lord.
Luke 6:40 The disciple is not above his
master: but every one that is perfect shall be as his
master.
John 15:20 The disciple is not above
his master: but every one that is perfect shall be as his
master.
17
If ye know these things, happy are ye if ye do them.
James 1:25 But whoso looketh
into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth
therein, he
being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this
man shall be blessed in his deed.
