Two Kinds of Shepherds
John 10:1-18

1 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.

2 But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep.

3 To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out.

4 And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice.

5 And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers.

6 This parable spake Jesus unto them: but they understood not what things they were which he spake unto them.

7 Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep.

8 All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them.

9 I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.

10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

11 I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.

12 But he that is an hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth: and the wolf catcheth them, and scattereth the sheep.

13 The hireling fleeth, because he is an hireling, and careth not for the sheep.

14 I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.

15 As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep.

16 And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.

17 Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again.

18 No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father.

Jesus said anyone who does not enter through the door is a thief or a robber, meaning He is the door to God and God can only be reached by going through that door. He is the shepherd and we are the sheep.

Jesus said He does not drive His sheep, he walks before them and they follow Him. He knows them in a personal relationship and where ever they are He leads them out of, or into a more abundant life. If they are living in sin, by following Jesus,  He will lead them out of their sinful life. They will not follow a stranger because they do not know Him or his voice. He does not appeal to them or lead them the way the Shepherd Jesus does.

Jesus said that He is the door for the sheep to enter, and all that came before Him are not because the sheep did not know their voice and follow.  Therefore, their leadership was short lived.

If the sheep enter the door that He is, they will find pasture. They will be saved.
Those who come in His name and are not him, they are from satan. They came to steal your soul, rob your mind of pure thought, and lead you away from the light. Jesus came to bring light and make life abundant for those who believe in and follow Him and want eternal life.

The false jesus does not protect his sheep. If trouble comes the false jesus will run and hide and the sheep will be endangered, killed or scattered by an intruder.

We can clearly see today, when a divider comes the sheep are scattered. When a pastor of a church preaches his own message that does not line up with the scriptures, or does line up with the scriptures with a different "twist" added to the teaching, or if they are more about collecting money than presenting the Word, they are not shepherds. They are wolves in sheep's clothing. They are false teachers and will steal the light of your soul, and rob your mind of pure thinking. Another glaring example of false shepherds is very visible in the 2016 elections. The wolves are coming in numbers. They promise to protect the sheep and make the life of the sheep more abundant. However, their meaning of abundant is earthly abundance and Jesus' meaning is opposite meaning heavenly abundance, and the abundance being offered by the wolves will revert back to them once elected. Jesus' abundance lasts forever for His sheep. The wolves abundance is the Now, Jesus' is the eternity. None of the wolves will protect their sheep, although they claim they have come to protect the sheep, they have come to feed on the sheep. Should there be one wolf who comes who has intention not to feed on the sheep, the other wolves will try to feed on him first. Once the "good" wolf is eliminated by the other wolves, they will feed on the sheep.

Some sheep do not know their shepherd's voice, so they are easily fooled by the smooth talk of wolves. The wolves use methods to divide and scatter the sheep so they the sheep will be left weak and will serve their purpose, which is not in the best interest of the sheep.

The Shepherd will lay his life down for His sheep. The wolf will lay down the life of the sheep. Jesus is the Shepherd and He laid His life down so His sheep could be saved and have an eternal life with Him. The false shepherd will lay the sheep's life down so that he may be saved.

There are many sheep who are not in the same fold as Jesus. They have a wolf for a shepherd and are serving the purpose of the wolf. Jesus said He will bring these sheep to his fold when they hear His voice, and there shall be one fold. And that fold will serve His purpose in eternity.

IS YOUR SHEPHERD A WOLF OR IS YOUR SHEPHERD JESUS?
