John 8:33-59

 

33 They answered him, We be Abraham's seed, and were never in bondage to any man: how sayest thou, Ye shall be made free?

Lev 25: 42 For they are my servants, which I brought forth out of the land of Egypt: they shall not be sold as bondmen.

Matthew 3: 9 And think not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.

34 Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.

Romans 6:
16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?

2 Peter 2: 19 While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage.

35 And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever.

 Gal 4:
30 Nevertheless what saith the scripture? Cast out the bondwoman and her son: for the son of the bondwoman shall not be heir with the son of the freewoman.

36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

Romans 8:
2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

Gal 5:1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.

37 I know that ye are Abraham's seed; but ye seek to kill me, because my word hath no place in you.

 John 7:
19 Did not Moses give you the law, and yet none of you keepeth the law? Why go ye about to kill me?

 38 I speak that which I have seen with my Father: and ye do that which ye have seen with your father.

John 3:
32 And what he hath seen and heard, that he testifieth; and no man receiveth his testimony.
           
John 5: 19 Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.

John 5: 30 I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.

John 14:10,24  10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.

 24 He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me.

39 They answered and said unto him, Abraham is our father. Jesus saith unto them, If ye were Abraham's children, ye would do the works of Abraham.

Matt 3:
9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and  how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?

Roman 2:
28 For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh:

Romans 9: 7 Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called.

Gal 3: 7 Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same arethe children of Abraham.

Gal 3: 29 And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.

40 But now ye seek to kill me, a man that hath told you the truth, which I have heard of God: this did not Abraham.

John 8:
37 I know that ye are Abraham's seed; but ye seek to kill me, because my word hath no place in you.

John (:26 I have many things to say and to judge of you: but he that sent me istrue; and I speak to the world those things which I have heard of him.

41 Ye do the deeds of your father. Then said they to him, We be not born of fornication; we have one Father, even God.

Isaiah 63:16 Doubtless thou art our father, though Abraham be ignorant of us, and Israel acknowledge us not: thou, O LORD, art our father, our redeemer; thy name is from everlasting.

Isaiah 64: 8 But now, O LORD, thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand.

Mal 1: 6 A son honoureth his father, and a servant his master: if then I be a   father, where is mine honour? and if I be a master, where is my fear? saith the LORD of hosts unto you, O priests, that despise my name. And ye say,     Wherein have we despised thy name?

42 Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me.

I John 5:
1 Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him.

John 16: 27 For the Father himself loveth you, because ye have loved me, and have believed that I came out from God.

John 17:
18 As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them  into the world.

John 5:
43 I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive.

John 7:
28 Then cried Jesus in the temple as he taught, saying, Ye both know me, and ye know whence I am: and I am not come of myself, but he that sent me is true, whom ye know not.

John 29 But I know him: for I am from him, and he hath sent me.

43 Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word.

 John 7
17 If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself.

44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

Matt 13:
38 The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one;

1 John 3:
8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

Jude 6: And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own  habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.

45 And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not.

46 Which of you convinceth me of sin? And if I say the truth, why do ye not believe me?

47 He that is of God heareth God's words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God.

John 10:
26 But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you.

1 John 4: 6 We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.

48 Then answered the Jews, and said unto him, Say we not well that thou art a Samaritan, and hast a devil?

John 6: 52 Then said the Jews unto him, Now we know that thou hast a devil. Abraham is dead, and the prophets; and thou sayest, If a man keep my saying he shall never taste of death.

John 7: 20 The people answered and said, Thou hast a devil: who goeth about to kill thee?

John 10: 20 And many of them said, He hath a devil, and is mad; why hear ye him?

49 Jesus answered, I have not a devil; but I honour my Father, and ye do dishonour me.

50 And I seek not mine own glory: there is one that seeketh and judgeth.

John 5:
41 I receive not honour from men.

 John 7: 18 He that speaketh of himself seeketh his own glory: but he that seeketh his glory that sent him, the same is true, and no unrighteousness is in him.

 

51 Verily, verily, I say unto you, If a man keep my saying, he shall never see death.

John 5:
24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

John 11:
26 And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?

52 Then said the Jews unto him, Now we know that thou hast a devil. Abraham is dead, and the prophets; and thou sayest, If a man keep my saying, he shall never taste of death.

Zec 1: 5 Your fathers, where are they? and the prophets, do they live for ever?

Heb 11: 13 These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.

53 Art thou greater than our father Abraham, which is dead? and the prophets are dead: whom makest thou thyself?

54 Jesus answered, If I honour myself, my honour is nothing: it is my Father that honoureth me; of whom ye say, that he is your God:

55 Yet ye have not known him; but I know him: and if I should say, I know him not, I shall be a liar like unto you: but I know him, and keep his saying.

John 7:28-9
28 Then said Jesus unto them, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things.

29 And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him.

56 Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad.

Luke 10:
24 For I tell you, that many prophets and kings have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them.

Heb 11: 13 These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.

57 Then said the Jews unto him, Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham?

58 Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.

Exodus 3:
14 And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.
           

Is 43:13 Yea, before the day was I am he; and there is none that can deliver out of my hand: I will work, and who shall let it?

John 17:5, 24
 5 And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.
 
24 Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.

Col 1: 17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.

Rev 1: 8 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.

59 Then took they up stones to cast at him: but Jesus hid himself, and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by.

John 10:31,39
31 Then the Jews took up stones again to stone him.
39 Therefore they sought again to take him: but he escaped out of their hand,

John 11:8 His disciples say unto him, Master, the Jews of late sought to stone thee; and goest thou thither again?
