Jesus
Has Arisen
John 20:1-10
1 The first
day of the week
cometh Mary Magdalene early, when it was yet dark, unto the
sepulchre, and seeth the stone taken away from the
sepulchre.
Matt 28:1 In the end of the
sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first
day of the
week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the
sepulchre.
Mark 16:1 And when the sabbath
was past, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the
mother of
James, and Salome, had bought sweet spices, that they might
come and anoint him.
Luke 24:1 Now upon the first
day of the
week, very early in the morning, they came unto the
sepulchre, bringing the spices which they had prepared, and
certain others
with them.
2 Then she runneth, and
cometh to Simon Peter, and to the other disciple, whom Jesus
loved, and saith unto them, They have taken away the Lord
out of the sepulchre, and we know not where they have laid
him.
John
13:23 Now there was leaning on Jesus' bosom one of his
disciples, whom Jesus loved.
19:26 When Jesus therefore saw
his mother, and the disciple standing by, whom he loved, he
saith unto his mother, Woman, behold thy
son!
21:7 Therefore that disciple whom Jesus loved saith unto
Peter, It is the Lord. Now when Simon Peter heard that it
was the Lord, he girt
his fisher's coat
unto him, (for
he was naked,) and did cast himself into the sea.
21:20 Then Peter, turning about, seeth the disciple whom
Jesus loved following; which also leaned on his breast at
supper, and said, Lord, which is he that betrayeth thee?
21:24 This is the disciple which testifieth of these
things, and wrote these things: and we know that his
testimony is true.
3 Peter therefore went
forth, and that other disciple, and came to the sepulchre.
Luke 24:12 Then arose Peter,
and ran unto the sepulchre; and stooping down, he beheld the
linen clothes laid by themselves, and departed, wondering in
himself at that which was come to pass.
4 So they ran both
together: and the other disciple did outrun Peter, and came
first to the sepulchre.
5 And he stooping down,
and looking in,
saw the linen clothes lying; yet went he not in.
John 19:40 Then took they the
body of Jesus, and wound it in linen clothes with the
spices, as the manner of the Jews is to bury.
6 Then cometh Simon
Peter following him, and went into the sepulchre, and seeth
the linen clothes lie,
7 And the napkin, that
was about his head, not lying with the linen clothes, but
wrapped together in a place by itself.
John 11:44 And he that was
dead came forth, bound hand and foot with graveclothes: and
his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto
them, Loose him, and let him go.
8 Then went in also that
other disciple, which came first to the sepulchre, and he
saw, and believed.
9 For as yet they knew
not the scripture, that he must rise again from the dead.
Psalms 16:10 For thou wilt not
leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy
One to see corruption.
Acts
25
For David speaketh concerning him, I
foresaw the Lord always before my face, for he is on my
right hand, that I should not be moved:
26
Therefore did my heart rejoice, and my
tongue was glad; moreover also my flesh shall rest in hope:
27
Because thou wilt not leave my soul in
hell, neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see
corruption.
28
Thou hast made known to me the ways of
life; thou shalt make me full of joy with thy countenance.
29
Men
and brethren, let me freely speak unto you of
the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and
his sepulchre is with us unto this day.
30
Therefore being a prophet, and knowing
that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of
his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ
to sit on his throne;
31
He seeing this before spake of the
resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell,
neither his flesh did see corruption.
10 Then the disciples
went away again unto their own home.
